Project Description
Facilitated by Tamara Froud, president of BAMM, our invited speaker and presenter from the United Kingdom, the Common Unity – Wild at Heart Mosaic brings to life one of the key focus areas of our association – Mosaic in the Community.

Themed Wild at Heart, this project aims to recognise the unity in our global community while celebrating the eclectic nature of who we are and where we live. Inspired by the wonderful world that is right outside our window!

We will invite interested participants to register for this exciting collaborative project. You do not have to be a MAANZ member or a delegate at the symposium to participate. This is for all those in our extended mosaic community who would like to experience a fun mosaic Make-Along and contribute to the mosaic community.

Project Coordinator Tamara Froud will facilitate two live online ‘Make Along’ sessions where she will demonstrate how to go about making your small circular (15cm diameter) mosaic contribution.

These online events will be recorded and able to be watched back for those in different time zones. When complete, contributions will be posted to MAANZ Community Officer and prepared for assembly.

Tamara will be bringing the mosaic contributions together as part of her Common UNITY workshop at the MAANZ International Symposium in Geelong in November 2024 with the support of MAANZ Community Officer Kristin Wohlers.

The mosaic panels will then be installed in South Australia on a series of stobie poles, with their locations made public so you can pay them a visit.
