Description : This hands on practical workshop introduces participants to making and using dimensional substrates for mosaic. Students will leave with a substrate of their own design and sufficient understanding of the method to be able to confidently make their own substrates at home. The student-made substrate will need to be completed at home but students will get hands on experience during the workshop of completing a substrate supplied by me.

Students to bring : Container for mixing adhesive – big yoghurt pot size, A piece of stiff cardboard around 40 x 40 cm sq, three big kitchen tidy bags, dust masks, 1 pair sharp scissors, two or three cardboard tubes from the inside of alfoil, toilet paper etc. Camera – smartphone is fine.
