We have two tours on offer this year:
Visit and workshop at Castle Phoenix
Castle Phoenix is being built in the south of Tasmania, just outside the small town of Geeveston. Christina Kent and Francis Shepherd are realizing a life dream to build this castle with its beautiful landscaped gardens. There are many mosaics already installed at the castle site, but there is always room for more. We will be taking a bus of enthusiastic mosaic artists south through the Huon Valley to visit the castle, have a tour and add to the mosaics on site with the knowledge and wisdom of Christina and Francis available to you while you visit. A lot of what they have created has been done just by them, when they can get in some help they do. It is a fascinating place to visit and you will be able to leave you mark on site.
Tour Cost $65.00 inc GST and we will be providing lunch on site. Book during registration
The tour departs from Brooke Street Pier by bus at 9.30 on Monday 21st of August arriving at approximately 10.30 at Castle Phoenix. We will be returning to Hobart between 3 and 4pm to arrive back in Hobart by 5 pm. (We may stop to try some cider on the way home).

MONA Tour by Ferry
MONA – Museum of Old and New Art
From their website….
MONA: a museum, or something. In Tasmania, or somewhere. Catch the ferry. Drink beer. Eat cheese. Talk crap about art. You’ll love it.
What more can I say – we will be leaving at 9.30 from the Brook Street Pier this time by the MONA ROMA 1Ferry – itself an experience. We have pre-purchased ferry and museum tickets for those who book. Once out at MONA enjoy some freedom, take a tour of the museum, try some cheese and wine, go for a fancy lunch if that is what you want to do – it’s up to you. You may want to relax on the lawn in the famous bean bags. The tour includes commentary via an IPod that will show you what is near by and information about the work and the artist(s).
You will be returning from MONA at 3pm so plenty of time to see the site and have some lunch at your own expense. There are a number of offers available for lunch. If you wish to book any other offers such as winery tours please organize privately.
Cost –$25 MONA Ticket Free for TAS residents), Ferry Ticket $22.00. Book during registration.
Departs Brook Street Pier 9.30, returning at 4pm
