In the dictionary, revolution is sudden and dramatic change. Evolution is slow and gradual.
A forest of trees supports the tree of life symbol; elements that are at the very foundation of our natural world. Mankind’s place on this evolutionary timeline is marked with a single face. I found shells on my local beach and a ceramic face discarded by an unknown ceramic artist. I fashioned the vegetation from airdry modelling clay. These largely white objects spoke to me softly of the colour and beauty that is slowly draining from the world. Diversity is diminishing and the course of evolution altered forever.
