MAANZ Mosaic Symposium 2009

9th to 11th October

Join us in the new “Groundswell” of Mosaic Art activity

Every two years MAANZ hosts a Mosaic Symposium where artists and enthusiasts get together to learn and be entertained by national and international mosaicists. Our past Symposiums were held in Sydney (2005) and Tasmania (2007). And with each Mosaic Symposium the events get bigger and better.

This year, in addition to an amazing cast of speakers and topics, we will be offering half day workshops on a variety of subjects. Speakers and workshop educators will come from around Australia, New Zealand and the USA – and we are still working on European opportunities. Click here to view list of Speakers.

Please see Our Work In Progress Symposium Schedule here

Usually, we have our National Open Exhibition with our Mosaic Symposium however this year, with the intention of enticing international participation, MAANZ decided to exhibit our 30:30 Vision Exhibition ; a themed exhibition measuring 30cm x 30cm.

This year’s theme is Crusty Oceania – all sea life, as long as it’s classified a crustacean! The theme was inspired by the location of this year’s Mosaic Symposium – Brisbane of course! Further details, including entry forms, can be downloaded here
